What is UlcerGard?

UlcerGard is used to prevent gastric ulcers in horses that are 600 pounds and over. Veterinarians have found that 70 percent of horses develop ulcers within a week when put in competition, fairs, or training environments.

For:

Horses

Benefits:

  • First and only product proven to prevent Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS)
  • Horses like the cinnamon-flavored oral paste
  • Once-a-day dosing is convenient (for horses under 1,200 pounds)
  • No reported side effects

How it Works:

The main ingredient in UlcerGard is omeprazole, which suppresses acid production in your horse's stomach. One daily serving of omeprazole for 28 days effectively prevents the onset of ulcers in horses exposed to stressful conditions.

Cautions:

The safety for use in pregnant mares has not been established.
