Submit Your QuestionMy cat is very uncooperative when it comes to her Dorzolamide Hydrochloride and Timolol Maleate eye drops. I am not always able to get a a full dose in each eye. Will she be alright with a partial dose each day? She is very stressed about the entire experience.
HEY! Yes, just try to get as much in as possible. It is ok if some drips out. Just try to keep up with your eye arts with her. I hope this helped! Dr.Lindsay Butzer
My 12 year old dog has cloudy eyes. She doesn't appear to be vision impaired. Is there medication for her?
I would need to examine her to give you really good advice because many things can cause what peopel describe as a "cloudy eye". If her vision is not affected at all, it may be "nuclear sclerosis" which is a normal aging change that doesn't require treatment. Here is a good article about cataracts that talks about nuclear sclerosis and "what else it could be": https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951531
is there an eye solution for our dogs eyes
It depends on exactly what is going on - you filed this under "glaucoma" but wrote "cataracts" so I assume you are asking about "cataracts" and there are no drops or topical solutions for cataracts - they are usually surgically removed.
What would cause my puppies eye to glaze over and what can i ddo to tteat it
There are many potential causes and some are medical emergencies, so definitely see your veterinarian as soon as you can if the actual cornea is cloudy.
What medication would I give my 8 year old Chiwawa for glaucoma.
Glaucoma is fairly rare, so be sure of your diagnosis - a veterinarian has to check the pressures in the eye with a tool made for this. You cannot look at an eye and decide that it has glaucoma (even we can't). But here is a good article about glaucoma, written by another veterinarian from a site that I trust: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=6097123
My cat is on Dorozlamine drops and while struggling to put them in, my cat got some on his face. I am worried that made some of that got into his mouth. What should I do?
Just a drop or two in the mouth is not considered toxic. When a toxicity issue arises and you need immediate help, here are a couple of options: ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center Phone Number: 1-(888) 426-4435 or websites like JustAnswer.com.

We want a dna testing kit. Gold standard. Breeder in denial. Recommend a dna kit for PRA testing please.
I usually use Wisdom labs for DNA testing. Here is a link to their site: https://www.wisdompanel.com/en-us. I don't think they do PRA testing - you would have to contact a veterinary ophthalmologist about that.

Now, I haven't taken her to see a vet as of yet about it because I can't afford to right now. About a month ago her left eye started to cloud over. What I need to know, is if I do decide to take her in for diagnosis, how much would medication to treat her Glaucoma generally cost?
It really depends totally on where you live - you have to just start calling around & getting quotes. BUT without a true diagnosis, it might be: Glaucoma, cataracts, corneal dystrophy, corneal ulcer, etc etc - all treated entirely differently so you really need a diagnosis first.
